This 2 hours anatomy workshop will help you learn the musculoskeletal system and its application in some of the pilates/yoga postures. Cely will check your postural alignment, as well as breathing and strategies for cuing the exercises.
Objectives:
- Define Kinesiology
- Learn skeleton system and muscle system
- Understanding vertebral column/Understanding the anatomy of the spine and apply low back and core exercises
- Define joint action
- Learn about muscle/muscle action
- Learn about types of muscular contraction
- Learn about body plane and key exercise
- Learn about fascia (how it works in stretching and injury prevention)
- Learn about types of body movement.
- Learn about rotator cuff muscles
- Understand how the main muscle of respiration works (The Diaphragm)
- Learn the 5 Principles of Pilates and some of of the Yoga poses.
