2-Hour Anatomy Workshop for Pilates/Yoga

This 2 hours anatomy workshop will help you learn the musculoskeletal system and its application in some of the pilates/yoga postures. Cely will check your postural alignment, as well as breathing and strategies for cuing the exercises.

Objectives:

  1. Define Kinesiology
  2. Learn skeleton system and muscle system
  3. Understanding vertebral column/Understanding the anatomy of the spine and apply low back and core exercises
  4. Define joint action
  5. Learn about muscle/muscle action
  6. Learn about types of muscular contraction
  7. Learn about body plane and key exercise
  8. Learn about fascia (how it works in stretching and injury prevention)
  9. Learn about types of body movement.
  10. Learn about rotator cuff muscles
  11. Understand how the main muscle of respiration works (The Diaphragm)
  12. Learn the 5 Principles of Pilates and some of of the Yoga poses.
